The Dr. Hertich House is under new ownership! The new owner, Dr. Sandra Hoffmann, is a physician herself and practices medicine throughout Missouri - including at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital - and looks forward to bringing a unique touch of class to this historic gem.
We have been hard at work to make sure that guests experience the same classic charm that the hotel has to offer while also introducing some modern amenities and services. We invite you to come and experience the rich history of this hotel while taking advantage of our newly added features.

Dr. Hertich was a prominent doctor and this hotel was his clinic in the 1800's. Take this opportunity to experience history first hand at this historic site.

What makes Dr. Hertich's House special?Dr. Hertich House Heritage Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Ste. Genevieve - the oldest settlement in Missouri and a National Park. It also features a gallery of regional Missouri artists' work presenting the history of Missouri from the original Osage tribes to the coming of settlers and the voyage of Lewis and Clark. The settlement of Missouri and the travels down the Missouri and Mississippi rivers are illustrated. The works of regional artists Gary Lucy, Bryan Haynes, George Caleb Bingham and Thomas Hart Benton are featured. Experience history from the center of Main Street within walking distance to all the historic buildings, attractions, and festivals.
"We loved staying here! The room was spacious and comfortable. It had a microwave, mini fridge, and even wine glasses. The whirlpool was so fun! You can even purchase cold beer and wine. We enjoyed the fresh pastries every morning from Pat’s Pastries. I loved the outdoor garden space. We spent the last night sipping wine and enjoying the view of the garden. It was also close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants nearby. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved our hosts!"
